Where have I been?

Hello to everyone and I just want to say I hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving and ate a lot, because I know that I did, sorry it's been so long since I have posted in any of my blogs but once again I went into the hospital for 30 days and am doing good, I am really trying to beat this muscular dystrophy, but I am doing good.  I have some pain but not as bad as it used to be. I am trying to walk at least 3 miles a day so my legs and hips stay strong, and now I am living in Spring Valley, Ca. and my walking path is nothing but hills now so my hips should stay strong.  I never went and got the cane my Neurologist recommended I don't want to have to rely on any thing but myself and my family. well this is it for now but I will post more later now that I am settled again.

Ok now you are probably thinking, Oh there Duane goes again saying that he's going to catch up on all his blogs, well I just want to say I am sorry for not keeping up on my blogs, however I am starting to feel better now and really want to try and work on each and everyone of my blog at least once a week.

Currently my favorite blogs are Military of the World, Navy's of the world blog, 44 college student and side stepping through life. So I am not giving anyone a promise because my health can drop dramatically with out warning.

Hello all and welcome to my blog Thoughts on World History, if you have made it this far into the fascinating world of Duane's blog than I'm sure you have already seen my long boring introduction about myself and my whole life history, if not and you are for some reason interested please feel free to go to http://duanesushistory.blogspot.com/ and you can find out all about me.

So from there I will just let you know that I am currently retired from the US Navy after 20 years that were some of the best years of my life, a time I gave to this great country that I shall never regret. However since that chapter of my life has been written I have set a new course for my life and am now a 44 year old full time college student majoring in history with a goal of becoming an elementary school or jr. high school teacher.

One of the classes I am attending this semester is World History I here at San Diego City College and this blog will be part of my learning experince I can share with others, specifically you. As you must be able gather I am a history nut since I am a history major after all. I will warn you though my blogging experince through the years have been starting a blog, posting a couple of times than forgetting all about it, however since this will be a required part of my course I will most definately be posting here regularly.

As I go through this learning experince of mine, I would like to invite you to get involved, leave me comments telling me what you do or don't like, correct me if you believe a post is incorrect or if you like even ask me to research and post on a subject you may be intrested in, please just feel free.
